Happy Caturday!

#HappyCaturday

What happened to the box after I emptied it! Typical!

A friend dropped off books and audio books for me today AND I received quite a few ARC and reviewer copies today of books, from Netgalley and Edelwiess. I have been looking forward to reading these. For some reason I think that Amity, my cat, has been getting a little jealous of my Kindle and my reading time.

White Rabbit, by KA Laity
White Rabbit - K A Laity

White Rabbit by K.A. Laity. Another reviewer copy from Netgalley. I finally feel like I am catching up.

Reading progress update: I've read 146 out of 146 pages.
Wonderland: Asylum - Raven Gregory, Patrick Shand

I was provided the this issue of Wonderland Asylum after issue #19 by Netgalley for a fair and in biased review. I have a full and complete one ready to post later on. For now, here is a brief summary of my thoughts. The artwork in Woderland Asylum is phenomenal. I enjoyed the sarcasm and humor.that was continued through each of the lands. Although I didn't read the previous 19 issues I felt that the introduction provided enough background information to include the reader as to where the graphic novel plot was at that point. The extra art work of alternate covers at the end was a perk. Besides the art work were the coloring and the metering which were magnificent as well. In total I felt the comic could be read as a stand alone. This graphic novel has adult themes, language, and situations. I look forward to see what else www.zenescope.com will develop.

Fractured Dream (The Dreamer Saga Book 1) - K.M. Randall

My galley book from Netgalley. Hope I can get thru a good portion of Fractured Dreams before my much needed nap.

And Nerdy Natasha would like some sleep too. Perhaps a winning lotto ticket. A single match for me that is perfect in all ways.........but this will work too. With this I could sleep or read.

Reading progress update: I've read 70%.
The Moth in the Mirror - A.G. Howard Wonderland: Asylum - Raven Gregory, Patrick Shand

Although both of these books have something to do with Wonderland, they are different. The graphic novel of Wonderland Asylum adds to the Madness of the characters and asylum itself. The Moth and the Mirror has some of the same incorporation of characters from the original Wonderland series but in totally different ways. However, in both books there is at least one MAD person. The madness in both books want company.

I'll be returning to finish up the novella very shortly. It is odd that I decided to take the novella vacation and choose this book it simply reinforces that there is no logic in Wonderland and that nothing is as you believe. Reading The Moth and the Mirror simply reaffirms that there is no logic or reason in Wonderland. The novella is holding its own as a stand alone, considering I didn't read the rest of the Splintered series. I think that I would understand so much more if I had read at least the first book in the series before reading this novella, perhaps I would fully understand the conflicts and positions that each of the main characters are experiencing. SO I must admit I am a little lost in The Moth and the Mirror. I do feel that the moment that I read the Splintered seriese I would

Reading progress update: I've read 89 out of 146 pages.
Wonderland: Asylum - Raven Gregory, Patrick Shand

The art work that was done on this graphic novel is amazing. I feel that the introduction of the story was enough to catch the reader up to allow this read to almost function fluidly as a stand alone. However, I feel if I had read the #19 other issues before this, I would understand much more into the madness and depths of the story than I currently do.

It just happens that at the point that I was planning on calling the reading of this book done for the night, I came across a most wonderful quote. It has been a long day...plus my insomnia and the heat have been making everything an extreme effort for me.

For What is a Realm of Dreams with no Dreamer?

Wonderland Asylum Galley
Wonderland: Asylum - Raven Gregory, Patrick Shand

I'm so excited that Wonderland Asylum is one of my first graphic novels to review from Netgalley. Thankfully the site provided all of the information about the publishers and artists. I was able to go to www.zenescope.com and check out much more of their art.

Now I'm making the quick journey over to their Facebook page to Like as well, www.Facebook.com/Zenescope . The art is amazing and the story line has caught me from the start. I'm hoping I can earn my way in the ranks for more of these graphic novels. As most of you know I was a huge fan of The Walking Dead graphic novels and own both of the Compendiums. The galley that I've really been anticipating are the Fables.

But for right now I'm enjoying Grimm Fairy Tales presents Wonderland Asylum which takes place after Wonderland #19. So to really get into this series I have 19 back issues to read. I think instead of a sugar daddy I'm going to need a book daddy. DO those even exist? If they do.....I'm  here  <-----------------

Sharknado2: The Sequel and National Cheesecake Day
How to Survive a Sharknado--and Other Unnatural Disasters: Fight Back When Monsters and Mother Nature Attack - Andrew Shaffer

I must say that today is going to be wonderful. National channels have been trying to prepare us for a doomfilled night, but I have hopes. I am from Jersey and lived in NY. Just listen to what Ian has to say of these stately people. But Ian isn't the only one to listen to. Please stay tuned to your local and national news channels.

Perhaps the most important thing to survive tonight will be this #Sharknadoawarenessday information.

(from Sharknado 1)

I was so proud to have the pets ready early. Maybe it is a little too early?

What don't we know about Sharknado 2? What do we need to know? How often will this apocolypse come down upon us? Will this become a seasonal change like hurricane season? Can the new book How Can we Survive any Sharknado? If I learn anything imertanant to save your life while reading I'll Did I mention that I have a reviewer copy of the book to help me along? I can't wait to read and post a review, no matter how silly many of you think this apocalypse might be.

Tonight will be Sharknado2: The Sequel on the SyFy Channel

AND Ian Zeiring will be holding his own at 50 years old while looking like he could still have a role on 90210.

Unfortunately I was very sick with my Multiple Sclerosis when all the fun competitions, Kickstarter Perks, and other ways to get into the film were being held. As a former marine biologist, scientific diver, and shark tagger; at least, I can just sit back and enjoy the show. Even folks at Comic Con are having a shark of a time. Too bad I don't have pjs to go all in for the night, and my shark slippers have to be replaced...bummer.

Does this come in an adult style?

Or maybe I could just settle for a toy?

Butt...hehehe, this picture and idea of celebrating is more befitting. I can head to Subway or even Joe's Crab Shack to have a little bit more Sharknado2 fun.

As if you haven't seen enough cheesecake with the sweetness of Ian Ziering. Today is also National Cheesecake Day sponsored by The Cheesecake Factory.

For some of us The Cheesecake Factory is very far away. So use today to come up with a great recipe and share. I love cooking and trying recipes based on the recommendations of others.

Now to combine National Cheesecake Day and Sharknado2

Okay so they might not be cheesecakes.....more like cheesie....LOL.

Have a safe and fun night. Watch for Sharknado2 and enjoy National Cheesecake. Just like the Sharknado, cheesecake can be deadly too.

I'm sorry I didn't make a post for yesterday's celebration for #NationalChocolateDay, I had errands to run. I'm sure all of us were able to celebrate in our individualized, unique, sweet, way. Mine was a strawberry swirled cheesecake at dinner with some chocolate liquor soaked into the crust.  I must say the heat really took much of my energy out of me. So I'm late on everything. But for today....a little late. But late is better than never.

Hum chocolate and lipstick.....

I could have combined both celebration days?

Hum, where can I get these chocolate lipstick makers?

I don't have chocolate on my teeth?

#HappyNationalLipstickDay .

Today is the day to be bold, try new things, and be adventurous. I didn't know  about you men and women out there. But that doesn't mean that you have to wear the lipstick. Just try something new. I wanted all of this to be out this morning for others to read, but like lipstick sometimes you just have to put it on and go.

Sometimes having the perfect lipstick flips things in the head of girls to kiss boys and leave a little reminder we were around. Have the perfect shade.

People magazine had a great article to discuss lipstick and changing things up. If you have a chance perhaps you might like the article too. It might help in kissing more boys and enjoying yourself and life more.

I can't wait for football season to start. We all know I have the perfect lipstick to match my Tampa Bay Buccaneers

....and it doesn't stop there. I can match this season with my favorite sport? Sweet. Why can't I find this book?

Through searching for images for today's holiday, #NationalLipstickDay , I came across a pretty neat blog. I'll be returning to read the blog. I enjoyed the fashion and sense I picked up from this blog.

Here is the link to her blog as well. http://lawbooksandlipstick.com/  Perhaps you might enjoy it as well. There is nothing wrong looking hot and nerdy.

Hope you were able to take a bite out of my belated post.

Sweetness, kisses, and so much more for today and tonight. Can't wait to see you tomorrrow. Perhaps tonight I'll even have lipstick dreams after my cherry chapsticked liquored drink. Tonight's read requires a tasty and fashionable cocktail. Goodnight!

Novella Vacation
The Moth in the Mirror - A.G. Howard

It is often very nice to take a brain vacation.  Prequel novellas provide such an escape from the longer novels. Looking forward to a quick read tonight and some sleep.

How many of you take that short story or novella vacation?

Rae Lindley amazing author
Cimmerian City - Rae Lori

So life has gotten unbalanced and my review and ARC book reading fell behind. With the reviewer copy under Netgalley I might not have had the chance to finish the book. She made it possible.that I not rush through the reading and be able to give a fair review. So excited. So now I'm going to read another book.due.....later return to Cimmerian City to enjoy reading. And savoring the details of the book.

My Facebook Pages is not correcting to the new address and I apologize for this fact. If anyone know how I can go back and fix this mistake, please let me know.

Next week I should have my Blogger blog launched. Work, reading, writing, and fun. That is how I have been strolling through this insomnia filled week.
